Abstract
The objective of this contribution is to show what remains of the subject within the preference for the «Other» given by Levinas’ philosophy. In particular, deepening the connection between Passivity and Synthesis, as it appears in «Otherwise Than Being», this contribution will emphasize the essential phenomenological importance of the structure of the subject throughout the shapes of the «hidden birth» and motherhood
