Abstract
The study examines the activity of citizens during the election campaign. Elections, which were held in Poland and Ukraine, were at different levels and political sense, but in both countries there was not such a high turnout of citizens. On the one hand, parliamentary elections in importance should encourage the participation of more citizens, but for Poland the issue of a low turnout is a chronic problem. At fist glance the country-the neighbor has fewer problems, is not experiencing major shocks and more stable in economic terms. However, the uncertainty of voters and their participation in the actual voting for the politically unstable Ukraine and to a more successful Poland.
