Abstract

Ouyang Xiu's understanding of Buddhism is the surface; Ouyang Xiu is the tone of comments critical of Buddhism; Ouyang Xiu row of Buddhist position is lifelong; Ouyang Xiu Buddhist concept of a "selfishness" and "empirical" two characteristics; in Buddhism developed by Ouyang Xiu digestion strategy, not only to Buddhism gained the opportunity to raise interest rates, but also the space of Confucianism has been extended, so as to Buddhism, Confucianism in the Song of the relationship started to create the conditions. Ou Yang Xiu's comprehension of Buddhism was superficial and the base of his comment of Buddhism was critical. He opposed Buddhism in his whole life and the characteristics of his viewpoint of Buddhism were selfish departmentalism and empiricism. The methods which Ou Yang Xiu has laid down not only give Buddhism the chance to relax and develop but also give confucianism the opportunity to extend
