Abstract

The works of Ramon Lull cover all the faculties of the medieval university. Lull wrote not only on philosophy, but also on theology, medicine, jurisprudence, astronomy, and geometry. He produced some 265 works in Latin and Catalan, preserved in a vast number of manuscripts, not only in those languages, but also in medieval translations into French, Castilian and Italian. Lull is also known to have written in Arabic; these works have unfortunately been lost, although work on the Arabic background has begun.
