Abstract

This paper discusses one of the fundamental principles operative in MullaSadra’sTranscendent Philosophy, that of the unity of the knower and the known . This paper highlights some of thesalient points inMulla Sadra’s discussion of it. His view on the unity of the knower and theknown is based on the unity of knowledge and being. Metaphysics andepistemology are profoundly inter-related, and their inter-relation is founded upon the unity or identity of knowledge and being in God
