Abstract

La categoría de lo virtual ha servido en los últimos años para caracterizar las transformaciones de la experiencia ligadas a la emergencia de las nuevas tecnologías de la información. El objetivo fundamental de este artículo radica en defender que la escritura, en tanto que primera técnica de la información, instituye como tal gran parte de las singularidades ontológicas que convierten a lo virtual en objeto de interés filosófico. Para ello, distingo tres usos del término virtual y examino su relación con el fenómeno de la escritura. Concluyo reflexionando acerca de la relación del hipertexto con el problema de la lectura filosófica de textos.In the last years the category of the virtual has characterized the transformations of the experience connected to the development of the new information technologies. The basic aim of this paper is to argue that writing, as the first information technology, institutes many of the ontological singularities that turn the virtual into a philosophical interesting subject. For that, I distinguish three uses of the term virtual and analyse their relation with the phenomenon of writing. I conclude reflecting on the relation of hypertext with the question of philosophical reading of texts.
