Abstract

Este artigo pesquisa os antecedentes teóricos dos conceitos winnicottianos de falso self e de patologia borderline na história da psicanálise, . A seguir, descreve as formulações teóricas desses conceitos realizadas por Winnicott, assinalando sua inconclusividade. Por fim, realiza um esforço no sentido de desenvolver esses conceitos, seguindo os passos de Winnicott e a partir de evidências clínicas.This article investigates the theoretical background of Winnicott's concepts of false self and borderline pathology in the history of psychoanalysis . Afterwards, it describes Winnicott's formulations of those concepts, pointing out their inconclusiveness. Finally, it makes an effort to develop those concepts, following Winnicott's steps and clinical evidences
