Abstract

The papers which follow were presented at an international conference which was held in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest in March 1992. The conference, the first in a series of Monist Colloquia sponsored by the Hegeler Institute, was directed by G. M. Tamas and J. C. Nyiri, both of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. _Contents_ J. C.
