Speculum 54 (1):55-70 (1979)
The Virtue of prudence plays a central role in Aristotelian ethical thought, as it does in the early Christian speculation that developed relatively independently of Aristotelian influence. For Aristotle prudence is essential for the determination of the mean of moral virtue; there can be no moral virtue without prudence nor is it possible to be good in the true sense without prudence. Prudence is right reason in matters of human moral action. { event.preventDefault(); })
