Abstract

This article is an introductory study on the possibilities of the relation between the capability approach and the implementation of an unconditional basic income. In that sense, in the first part I shall analize in what way Philippe Van Parijs can or can not handle the problem of the conversion, as theorized by Amartya Sen. In the second part, conversely, I will inquire to what extent is the UBI implementation compatible with the theory of justice of Martha Nussbaum.
