Abstract

Die dritte der japanischen Zen-Schulen, Ôbaku, ist in westlichen Sprachen noch nicht untersucht worden. Die Arbeit versucht, mit dem Mönch Tetsugen im Zentrum, einen ersten Einblick in diese Zen-Schule zu geben. Gleichzeitig soll auch die Reaktion und die Art der Assimilation des Zen in Japan aufgezeigt werden.
