Abstract

« Cet exposé n'est pas orienté vers l'ontologie mais vers l'axiologie. II vise à montrer qu'il existe une mentalité technique, et qu'elle est en cours de développement, done incomplète, et risquant d'être prématurement considérée comme monstrueuse et déséquilibrée. [...] Nous allons tenter de montrer que la mentalite technique est cohérente, positive, féconde dans le domaine des schèmes cognitifs, incomplète et en conflit avec elle-même parce que mal dégagée encore dans le cadre des catégories affectives, enfin sans unité et presque entièrement à construire dans l'ordre du vouloir ». « Such a report is not oriented towards ontology but, rather, towards axiology. It aims at showing that a technical mentality does exist, being as it is in a developmental process, thus rather incomplete and running the risk of being prematurely considered as both monstrous and unbalanced. [...] We will try to show that technical mentality is coherent, positive, fruitful in the field of cognitive schemes, incomplete and conflicting within its own self, since still badly cleared within the framework of emotional categories, finally lacking unity and almost entirely to be rebuilt in the order of the willing ».
