| Abstract |
Having gained an understanding about the problem of the universality and particularity of contradiction, we must proceed a step further to study the problem of the unified and conflicting nature of the aspects of a contradiction. Lenin gave a comparatively principled elaboration on this question. In the essay "On Contradiction" Chairman Mao developed Lenin's idea and further revealed this essential interconnection between the two aspects of a contradiction. Acquiring a clear understanding of this issue is extremely significant for our understanding and application of the law of the unity of opposites
