Abstract |
The explanation of why and how consciousness arises in the physical world and also the regular
relationship of mental states with physical states are one of the most difficult philosophical topics
to be considered in contemporary philosophy of mind. The naturalistic and physicalist attitude of
most philosophers of the mind has led to the idea that the field and especially the issue of
consciousness is very challenging. In the meantime, some philosophers of religion also have a
proposed a kind of theistic hypothesis as a theory to explain consciousness and other mind-body
issues as an argument for the existence of God.
