The Debate on Self-consciousness between Henrich and Tugendhat

Abstract

In the 1960s, Heinrich revisit their own awareness, reflection through his critique of traditional theories and trying to find new solutions. Heinrich's work caused a great response, but also reflects the "self awareness" of the theory itself contains difficulties. This paper attempts to Heinrich and another contemporary German philosopher Tugendhat debate on the issue on their own consciousness as a clue, to show their sense of theory in contemporary philosophy and the results achieved included the difficulties of its own, and we The reason for Heinrich and Tugendhat and related philosophers argue for clues, because we believe that the debate embodied in their own consciousness and the existence of the main issues on the methodology of opposing positions, and therefore, detailed analysis of the debate are conducive to their own theory of consciousness and even the development of modern philosophy
