The Modern Value of Chinese Traditional Philosophy: An Important Perspective of Zhang Dainian's Philosophical Thoughts

Abstract

China's Zhang Dainian famous contemporary philosopher and historian of philosophy, he was up to seventy years of unremitting exploration, commitment to learn under the guidance of Marxist philosophy and Western philosophy, the essence and create a new Chinese philosophy. His materialism, dialectics, epistemology, philosophy of life, the national spirit, and many other traditional Chinese philosophy espoused contemporary values, trying to achieve the transformation of traditional and contemporary philosophy, and its discussion of the new construction of modern Chinese philosophy there is still an important enlightenment . Zhang Dainian, as one of the meet prominent philosophers and historians of philosophy in modern China period, devoted himself to establishing the new Chinese Philosophy guided by Marxist philosophy by absorbing the essences of the Chinese and Western philosophies in his 70 years academic career. He spoke out loudly and clearly (he modern value of Chinese traditional philosophy in materialism, dialectics, epistemology, the philosophy of life and the national spirit, sought to achieve the modern transition of the traditional philosophy. His discourses have important enlightenment to the neo-construction of the contemporary Chinese Philosophy
