An Analysis of the Marxist Critique of Religion

Abstract

Marxist critique of religion thinking, in essence, more and more obvious since the 19th century, the secularization process in the rebellion of an extreme form of religious theology. Can not be launched directly from the materialist world view of atheism belief level, the formation of Marx's new materialism and historical materialism, but also of atheism clearly abandoned. Marx's radical critique of religions and the negative attitude, this attitude as the interpretation of the spirit of the resurgence of religion, in fact, the idea is open to extension, with the thought of Marx's own critique of religion has nothing to do. Marx's critique of religion from the religion that the economic and political relationship between the start and the start of the religious critique of the ideology of social phenomena, is a sociology of religion. Marx's concept of a socialist society, intended to communism through practice from philosophy to the social community into a new era atheistic beliefs, but Durkheim and Weber places a different way to prove a belief in modern society and its identity is still resorting to religion to understand way. How to face the modern world religious diversity and complexity of the phenomenon, the Marxist criticism of religion is thought facing problems
