    Based on a close reading of Sartre’s essay, The Transcendence of the Ego, this paper shows the importance of Sartre’s arguments against the transcendental ego for the Deleuzian project of restructuring the transcendental field.     This paper argues that Tugendhat's critique of Heidegger's existential conception of truth as disclosedness is usually misunderstood.     Henri Bergson and William James were great admirers of each other, and James seemed to think he got valuable ideas from Bergson.
