Flights-to-and-from-Quality with Islamic and Conventional Bonds in the COVID-19 Pandemic Era: ICEEMDAN-Based Transfer Entropy.Ahmed Bossman, Samuel Kwaku Agyei, Peterson Owusu Junior, Ellen Animah Agyei, Patrick Kwashie Akorsu, Edward Marfo-Yiadom & George Amfo-Antiri - 2022 - Complexity 2022:1-25.
We revisit the flight-to-quality and flight-from-quality occurrences vis-à-vis the stock-bond nexus across differing investment time scales in the COVID-19 era, using a novel technique hinged on a denoised frequency-domain transfer entropy. Our findings divulge that flights, both FTQ and FFQ, could be attained during stress periods. Generally, in the intermediate term of the COVID-19 pandemic, both Islamic and conventional bonds could act as safe havens, diversifiers, and hedges for international equities, and the same could be observed for international equities. We (...)

IntroductionThe abstracts of a conference are important for informing the participants about the results that are communicated. However, there is poor reporting in conference abstracts in disability research. This paper aims to assess the reporting in the abstracts presented at the 5th African Network for Evidence-to-Action in Disability (AfriNEAD) Conference in Ghana.MethodsThis descriptive study extracted information from the abstracts presented at the 5th AfriNEAD Conference. The Interaction Between Typically Developing Students and Peers With Autism Spectrum Disorder in Regular Schools in Ghana: An Exploration Using the Theory of Planned Behaviour.Maxwell Peprah Opoku, William Nketsia, J.-F., Wisdom Kwadwo Mprah, Elvis Agyei-Okyere & Mohammed Safi - 2021 - Frontiers in Psychology 12:752569.
The purpose of this study is to assess the intention of typically developing peers towards learning in the classroom with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In developing countries, such as Ghana, the body of literature on the relationship between students with disabilities and typically developing peers has been sparsely studied. Using Ajzen's theory of planned behaviour as a theoretical framework for this study, 516 typically developing students completed four scales representing belief constructs, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural controls, hypothesised (...)

Use and completion of partograph during labour is associated with a reduced incidence of birth asphyxia: a retrospective study at a peri-urban setting in Ghana.Reindolf Anokye, Enoch Acheampong, Judith Anokye, Amy Budu-Ainooson, Evelyn Amekudzie, Isaac Owusu, Naomi Gyamfi, Agyei Gyimah Akwasi & Wisdom Kwadwo Mprah - 2019 - Journal of Health, Population and Nutrition 38 (1):12.
Morbidity of birth asphyxia has been estimated to be 42 million disability-adjusted life years. A retrospective study design using a quantitative approach was adopted for the study. A simple random sampling technique was used to select a total of 200 folders of labouring women who were admitted and delivered (...)

When Teamwork Works: Examining the Relationship Between Leader-Member Exchange Differentiation and Team Creativity.Juan Du, Xinyue Lin, Yahua Cai, Fufu Sun & Joseph Amankwah-Amoah - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 12.
Drawing on team creativity literature and social comparison theory, we investigate how leader-member exchange differentiation influences team creativity. Using a survey based on 91 R&D teams from Chinese companies, we observe that LMX differentiation is negatively related to team creativity. More importantly, we demonstrate that team behavioral integration mediates the relationship between LMX differentiation and team creativity, and team emotional intelligence moderates the relationship between LMX differentiation and team behavioral integration, such that LMX differentiation has a weaker negative influence on (...)
