Since, in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the Church is separated from the state, and religiousness is a private matter of every person, official statistics on the belonging of the citizens of the country to a religious organization, and especially their attitude towards religion, are absent. The article is updated by several circumstances, which the authors reflect on. In their opinion, there are 1) obvious and external threats — violations of freedom of conscience in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, including Crimea, which arose as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and 2) internally hidden and potential dangers for freedom of religions of Ukrainian citizens. The well-known examples of discrimination of believers of certain faiths in the so-called DPR-LPR and Crimea given by the authors are constantly (...) updated. Relevant monitoring and analytical reports are prepared by both Ukrainian and international experts. They submitted these reports to international human rights organizations, including the rights for Freedom of Religion and Belief. Despite such convincing documented materials, separate accusations have recently appeared against Ukraine, which allegedly violates freedom of religion in the territory under its control. Some are trying to prove that Ukraine, taking advantage of the war situation and referring to the spiritual dangers for Ukraine from those religious organizations whose centers are in the aggressor country, threatens some churches, thereby violating the Constitution and the Law on Freedom of Conscience, which guarantee for all citizens, regardless of from their religious affiliation, freedom of religion. The authors refute these narratives lashed out by Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church. Such negative conclusions, which express concern about the situation in Ukraine regarding freedom of conscience and religion, influence on the world public, experts on issues of freedom of conscience, religious organizations, spoil the image of Ukraine as a country with high level of freedom of conscience even among European countries. Religious freedom, as the authors conclude, needs protection today, but they call for separating real threats from imaginary ones and clearly defining who persecutes, whom he/she persecutes and where persecutes. The religious network of Ukraine has never been monoconfessional. Vladimir's attempt in the 9th century to create a single pantheon of gods for all of Russia-Ukraine was ultimately unfulfilled. Ukraine has been a religiously pluralistic country since its appearance on the world map. Since it appears to us as a non-religious non-religious phenomenon, rather than as an intrinsic phenomenon of primordial beliefs, it is regarded as neo-paganism. The only indicators of religious life that are currently fixed by state authorities are existing religious organizations. The official statistics of the religious network, submitted by the State Committee on Nationalities and Religions in early 2008, recorded the presence of 33841 religious organizations in Ukraine in more than one hundred different religious movements, churches and communities. This figure includes 32,493 religious communities, 421 monasteries, 192 religious schools with 18,375 students, 333 missions, and 74 fraternities. That is why the study of the patterns of development of this religion in its European image is relevant. Particularly relevant is the study of the current, postmodern state of Christianity. This is what this article is about. The author aims to reveal the peculiarities of the stagnant development of Christianity in the (...) European space. There are few works that would directly reveal the author's topic. There is more about postmodernity. In writing the article, the author used some thoughts from E. Weiz's books "Postmodern Times" and Yu., 2001). The starting point for our research was such methodological principles as objectivity, historicism, non-denominationalism, and ideological plurality. Prior to Ukraine's accession to the Ukrainian SSR, there were two research religious institutions - the department of the philosophical problems of religion and atheism of the Institute of Philosophy of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine B. The first organizational form of the existence of religious science in Ukraine was the 1931 Anti-Religious Sector, which was formed in Kharkov as a part of the Institute of Philosophy and Natural Sciences of the All-Ukrainian Association of Scientific Research Institutes. Ivan Ortinsky was born on January 20, 1922 in the village of Pogirtsi, Rudkivsky District. At the age of 17, having just got a certificate of maturity for a gymnasium, he departed from Lviv to Italy. In our literature, following Professor D. Ugrinovich, it is still customary to divide religious studies into theoretical and historical ones. It even found its name in the name of some religious departments, institutes. We will not discuss here the issue of the legitimacy of such a division. To me, the philosophy of religion is one of the disciplinary entities of religious studies, as is the history of religion. The main specificity of religious studies is that it studies religion not as (...) a whole, but as a whole, in the organic totality of all its components and functions. Religion appears to him not as a static phenomenon, but as a dynamic phenomenon. This issue of Ukrainian Religious Studies is the first in 2019 to open a new page in the history of our professional publication. The complete digitization of all the UR numbers from 1996, which were published on the website of the National Library of Ukraine named after VI Khmelnytsky, was carried out. Vernadsky, located the journal on the new platform OpenJournalSestem, entered several scientometric databases responsible for global indexing of scientific publications. We have updated the composition of the editorial board, (...) which introduced world-renowned religious scholars. Changed our editorial policy, which is clearly written on their page. Now it has become more transparent and open: all articles to the SD will be submitted via the Internet and will be double-blind reviewed. Religion and Education… The problem of their relationship has long interested the pedagogical community and the Church. Recently, in connection with the actualization of a religious factor in public and spiritual life, the desire of some Churches to use the public school selfishly, outrightly and illegally, it has appeared in Ukraine as well. The question is not whether or not to give knowledge of religion through the education system. The question arises as to what knowledge and to what extent it (...) should be taught, when, where and by whom it should be given. The question also arises as to whether there should be two systems of education in parallel - secular and spiritual, and whether spiritual education by its status should be equated with secular and attested by the same documents as in the sphere of secular life. But if this is the case, then it is likely that spiritual education is then subject to the rule of studying in educational institutions the compulsory list-minimum of the disciplines currently taught in all secular educational establishments and which form a broad outlook on their recipients. Familiarity creates its own specific continuum of spiritual life in Ukraine, becomes a notable phenomenon in the field of Ukrainian national revival. With this phrase, we identified a group of related phenomena in the spiritual life of present-day Ukraine, based on the idea of ​​a revival in one form or another of pre-Christian religion, which is considered by the organizers of the Homeland Movement as the authentic worldview of Ukrainians. It is impossible to call each of the currents of native (...) religion a neo-religious denomination, because, first, some of them, by virtue of their belief-conceptions of monotheistic religions, do not accept such an assessment of themselves; and secondly, some of these trends are still not religiously determined, but exist at the level of some educational institutions, they appear in the form of peculiar clubs of interest; Thirdly, a number of them functions in a very limited religious space, consisting only of several communities and a relatively small number of followers.
