La presente obra se desarrolla en torno a cinco (5) temas: El fenómeno educativo, Los fines de la educación y taxonomía de objetivos, Principios que definen y encauzan la educación actual, Planteamiento sistemático de las Ciencias de la Educación y La Pedagogía institucional. Introduce al lector en el campo de las Ciencias de la Educación y facilita el estudio de conceptos básicos.

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las nuevas coordenadas de los discursos en torno al cuerpo de las mujeres en el contexto posfeminista, prestando especial atención a la emergente “sensibilidad fit” que configura uno de los nuevos nodos discursivos. Se trata de explorar las tensiones entre las nuevas proclamas feministas de liberación femenina y la perduración de las exigencias patriarcales, en lo que parece resolverse bajo la estrategia de alineamiento total entre el propio deseo y el deseo del sistema (...) a través de narrativas del cuidado del cuerpo, del amor propio y del desarrollo personal. Para ello, pondré en relación tres conceptos centrales: “posfeminismo” (Gill, 2007), “salutismo” (Crawford, 1980) y “dispositivo fitness” (Costa, 2010), a través de la figura del “empresario de sí” propuesto por Michel Foucault. Todo ello finalmente será ejemplificado a partir de una publicación paradigmática de este tipo de discursos, Fitness emocional. Una potente herramienta de bienestar personal (2017), de Nessi Arauz. Con ello se pretende ahondar y exponer las distintas tramas de poder que se encuentran en los nuevos discursos posfeministas de “la mujer empoderada”, que se imbrican con discursos salutistas y que pueden encuadrarse en las nuevas derivas del giro psicológico de la racionalidad neoliberal. The goal of this essay is to expose the foundations of Enrique Dussel’s philosophy of liberation and to explain its contributions in the context of Latin-american thinking. In a postmetaphysical level of foundation, the philosophy of liberation adopts the ethos from semitic thinking and the Levinas’ hermeneutics of the «Other» with the proposal of formulate a criticism of eurocentrism and to build an alternative philosophical model. Este artículo establece relaciones entre el mensaje de algunos manuales de Historia del bachillerato franquista, utilizados como fuentes primarias (29 en total) y la posición política de sus autores, fueran castigados (depuración en el escalafón de catedráticos de 1935), o premiados con la convocatoria de oposiciones patrióticas de 1940 que favorecieron a los simpatizantes del golpe de Estado de 1936. Para descubrir esas trayectorias personales se recurre a fuentes secundarias. Si unos autores utilizan el manual de Historia para constatar su (...) fidelidad personal al régimen de Franco; otros, lo utilizan como salvoconducto, para marcar distancias con su pasado masón, republicano de izquierdas, catalanista. Si en autores como José Ramón Castro hay coherencia entre su producción historiográfica profesional y escolar (su fidelidad al régimen es inquebrantable), Jaime Vicens Vives o Antonio Domínguez Ortiz, como autores de manuales representan la cultura oficial (legitiman al régimen); como historiadores profesionales, la denominada cultura establecida, al distanciarse más de él y de sus valores. A record of the words and teachings of Confucius, _The Analects_ is considered the most reliable expression of Confucian thought. However, the original meaning of Confucius's teachings have been filtered and interpreted by the commentaries of Confucianists of later ages, particularly the Neo-Confucianists of the Song dynasty, not altogether without distortion.In this monumental translation by Professor D. C. Lau, an attempt has been made to interpret the sayings as they stand. The corpus of the sayings is taken as an organic (...) whole and the final test of the interpretation rests on the internal consistency it exhibits. The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic led to various government-imposed limitations on social interaction and strict home confinement. Such involuntary social-distancing policies can exacerbate feelings of loneliness and alter emotional well-being. Dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis is a potential mechanism for loneliness’ deleterious health effects. In this study, we explored whether pre-pandemic diurnal cortisol output, a measure of HPA axis function, may predict the propensity to changes in loneliness during long-term COVID-19 home confinement and if extraversion would moderate this relationship. This (...) association has been explored by analysing the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and strict home confinement on social and emotional loneliness in 45 Spanish young adults. Diurnal cortisol levels were measured from five saliva samples obtained across a day just before the pandemic, and data about participants’ perceived loneliness, empathic state, extraversion, and prospective volunteering were obtained both before and during the confinement. Participants’ social and family loneliness increased during long-term strict home confinement, while prospective volunteering tendencies and extraversion decreased. Importantly, after adjusting for relevant confounders, moderation analyses revealed that in young adults with high pre-pandemic extraversion, a higher AUCG predicted a larger increase in social loneliness during confinement, while in individuals with low extraversion, AUCG was negatively related to change in loneliness. Our findings highlight the utility of pre-pandemic diurnal cortisol output in predicting the social impact of COVID-19 home confinement, presenting this hormone as a potential biomarker for a priori identification of at-risk groups during public health crises. In identifying that the 'essential tension' is the balance between conservative and innovative approaches in the development of knowledge - tried-and tested or new directions - Kuhn pointed out that these two attitudes are both appropriate. This study adds to this picture the social and psychological dynamics that underpin any such balancing.

The Greeks have long been regarded as innovators across a wide range of fields in literature, culture, philosophy, politics and science. However, little attention has been paid to how they thought and felt about novelty and innovation itself, and to relating this to the forces of traditionalism and conservatism which were also present across all the various societies within ancient Greece. What inspired the Greeks to embark on their unique and enduring innovations? How did they think and feel about the (...) new? This book represents the first serious attempt to address these issues, and deals with the phenomenon across all periods and areas of classical Greek history and thought. Each chapter concentrates on a different area of culture or thought, while the book as a whole argues that much of the impulse towards innovation came from the life of the polis which provided its setting. Abstract:Contemporary common sense holds that authenticity is an ethical ideal: that there is something bad about inauthenticity, and something good about authenticity. Here we criticize the view that authenticity is bad because it detracts from the wellbeing of the inauthentic person, and propose an alternative moral account of the badness of inauthenticity, based on the idea that inauthentic behaviour is potentially misleading.

In Rationalities in history, the distinguished historian David d'Avray writes a new comparative history in the spirit of Max Weber. In a strikingly original reassessment of seminal Weberian ideas, d'Avray applies value rationality to the comparative history of religion and the philosophy of law. Integrating theories of rational choice, anthropological reflections on relativism, and the recent philosophy of rationality with Weber's conceptual framework, d'Avray seeks to disengage 'rationalisation' from its enduring association with Western 'modernity.' This mode of analysis is contextualised (...) through the examples of Buddhism, Imperial China, and sixteenth-century Catholicism--in the latter case building upon unpublished archival research. The verb 'imagine' admits of perspectival modification: we can imagine things from above, from a distant point of view, or from the point of view of a Russian. But in such cases, there need be no person, either real or imagined, who is above or distant from what is imagined, or who has the point of view of a Russian. We call this the puzzle of perspectival displacement. This paper sets out the puzzle, shows how it does not just concern (...) language, but also states of imagining themselves, and then presents a solution. The solution draws on the idea that many reports of imagining conceal a distinctive kind of question, and such concealed questions have an extra argument place for (what we will call) an experiencer from whose perspective things are imagined. This solution has a range of advantages over other proposals in the literature, and helps to advance two debates concerning perspectival engagement with fiction. (shrink)

This paper is an original attempt to understand the foundations of economic reasoning. It endeavors to rigorously define the relationship between subjective interpretations and objective valuations of such interpretations in the context of theoretical economics. This analysis is substantially expanded through a dynamic approach, where the truth of a valuation results in an updated interpretation or changes in the agent's subjective belief regarding the effectiveness of the selected action as well as the objective reality of the effectiveness of all other (...) possible actions (i.e. consequence realization). Complications arise when the economic agent is presented with a set of actions that render ambiguous preference, or when the effectiveness of an action cannot be perceived upon its selection, thereby necessitating a different theory of choice and consequence realization.
