Mythen, Monumente Und Die Multimedialität der Memoria: Die ‚Corporate Identity‘ der Gens Fabia.Karl-Joachim Hölkeskamp - 2018 - Klio 100 (3):709-764.
Zusammenfassung Am Ende des 2. Jahrhunderts v.

Similarity-Based and Rule-Based Generalisation in the Acquisition of Attitudes Via Evaluative Conditioning.Fabia Högden, Christoph Stahl & Christian Unkelbach - forthcoming - Cognition and Emotion:1-23.
ABSTRACTGeneralisation in learning means that learning with one particular stimulus influences responding to other novel stimuli. Such generalisation effects have largely been overlooked within research on attitude acquisition via Evaluative Conditioning. In five experiments, we investigated whether and when generalisation of EC effects is based on similarity or on abstract rules. Experiments 1, 2a, 2b and 3 showed that participants who abstracted a rule during the learning phase used that rule for category judgments of novel stimuli. However, evaluative ratings of (...)

    Memory and Distance: Learning From a Gilded Silver Vase (Antwerp, C. 1530).Carlo Ginzburg - 2004 - Diogenes 51 (1):99-112.
This article concerns a silver beaker (now at the Residenzmuseum, Munich) decorated with scenes which seem to be related to the Spanish conquest of Mexico. On the basis of stylistic, iconographic and archival evidence the silversmith is here tentatively identified with an Italian-born artist, Stefano Capello, who is thought to have added a decoration to a pre-existing beaker on the eve of the treaty of Cambrai (3 August 1529). Margaret of Austria, aunt of the emperor Charles V, might have (...)

    Sallust's Wife.Ronald Syme - 1978 - Classical Quarterly 28 (02):292-.
It would be worth knowing whom the historian married. His wife's name might disclose some local tie in the Sabine country; or it might permit a guess about alliances with families at the metropolis, whether ancient in repute or newly risen to influence. Marriage is a normal device for advancement – ‘decus ac robur’. Cicero did well for himself when, about the year 79 B.C., he married Terentia. She was the half-sister of a Fabia, who was a Vestal Virgin. (...)
