  1. Chromatic diversity of natural scenes.J. M. M. Linhares, S. M. C. Nascimento, D. H. Foster & K. Amano - 1996 - In Enrique Villanueva (ed.), Perception. Ridgeview Pub. Co. pp. 65-65.
The number of discriminable colours is often assumed to be of the order of several million but the extent of detectable chromatic diversity present in individual natural scenes is an open question. Here, the aim was to estimate the number of discriminable colours seen in natural scenes. Hyperspectral data were obtained from a set of natural scenes over the range 400 - 720 nm at 10 nm intervals (Nascimento et al, 2002 Journal of the Optical Society of America A (...)

    From Management Systems to Corporate Social Responsibility.Gerard I. J. M. Zwetsloot - 2003 - Journal of Business Ethics 44 (2-3):201-208.
At the start of the 21st century, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) seems to have great potential for innovating business practices with a positive impact on People, Planet and Profit. In this article the differences between the management systems approach of the nineties, and Corporate Social Responsibility are analysed. An analysis is structured around three business principles that are relevant for CSR and management systems: (1) doing things right the first time, (2) doing the right things, and (3) continuous improvement and innovation. 10. Reducing Spirit to Substance: Dove on Hegel’s Method.Wendy Lynn Clark and J. M. Fritzman - 2002 - Idealistic Studies 32 (2):73-100.
: In “Hegel’s Phenomenological Method,” Kenley R. Dove maintains that the method of the Phenomenology of Spirit is not dialectical but instead wholly phenomenological. That is, Dove claims that Hegel’s method is purely descriptive. Dove’s interpretation has been highly influential and widely accepted. This article argues that, although there is a phenomenological aspect to Hegel’s method, that aspect itself presupposes a prior dialectical moment. Failure to account for that dialectical moment results in spirit being reduced to substance.

Turning tragedy into creative work: experiences and insights of plant lovers in Davao del Sur during COVID-19 pandemic.R. P. Bayod, E. J. Forosuelo, J. M. Cavalida & B. B. Aves - 2020 - Eubios Journal of Asian and International Bioethics 30 (7):371-375.
The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in disruption of work and other social activities of so many people. Some were forced to stay at home and many decided to stay at home for fear of being infected with the virus. This phenomenon brought different reactions and even mental stress to many people. However, there were people who turned this kind of tragedy into creative work. This paper discusses the experiences and insights of known plant lovers in Digos City, Davao del Sur (...)

This study investigated the differences between past and future temporal discounting in terms of neural activity in relation to temporal distance. Results show that brain regions are engaged differently in past and future temporal discounting. This is likely because past temporal discounting requires memory reconstruction, whereas future temporal discounting requires the processing of uncertainty about the future. In past temporal discounting, neural activity differed only when preferences were made between rewards received one hour prior and rewards received further in the (...)

Three Spanish Philosophers: Unamuno, Ortega, Ferrater Mora.José Ferrater Mora & J. M. Terricabras - 2003 - State University of New York Press.
"This collection provides an excellent introduction to three of the most important names in twentieth-century Spanish philosophy: Miguel de Unamuno (1864-1936), José Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955), and José Ferrater Mora (1912-1991). The thought-provoking work of these great contemporary philosophers offers a rich and penetrating insight into human existence. Originally written by Ferrater Mora in the middle of the last century, his interpretations of Unamuno and Ortega are considered classics, and the chapter on his own thought reflects his mature thinking about (...)

    Modern French Philosophy.L. Scott-Fox & J. M. Harding (eds.) - 1980 - Cambridge University Press.
This is a critical introduction to modern French philosophy, commissioned from one of the liveliest contemporary practitioners and intended for an English-speaking readership. The dominant 'Anglo-Saxon' reaction to philosophical development in France has for some decades been one of suspicion, occasionally tempered by curiosity but more often hardening into dismissive rejection. But there are signs now of a more sympathetic interest and an increasing readiness to admit and explore shared concerns, even if these are still expressed in a very different (...)

Following [3], we build higher-order models of analysis resembling the frameworks of nonstandard analysis. The models are entirely canonical, constructed without Choice. Weak transfer principles are developed and the models are applied to topology, graph theory, and measure theory. A Loeb-like measure is constructed.

    The consistency of one fixed omega.J. M. Henle - 1995 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 60 (1):172-177.
The paper "Partitions of Products" [DiPH] investigated the polarized partition relation $\begin{pmatrix}\omega\\\omega\\\omega\\\vdots\end{pmatrix} \rightarrow \begin{pmatrix}\alpha_1\\\alpha_1\\\alpha_2\\\vdots \end{pmatrix}$ The relation is consistent relative to an inaccessible cardinal if every α i is finite, but inconsistent if two are infinite. We show here that it consistent (relative to an inaccessible) for one to be infinite. Along the way, we prove an interesting proposition from ZFC concerning partitions of the finite subsets of ω.
