Prediction of Deep-Buried Gas Carbonate Reservoir by Combining Prestack Seismic-Driven Elastic Properties with Rock Physics in Sichuan Basin, Southwestern China.Jiqiang Ma, Jianhua Geng & Tonglou Guo - 2014 - Interpretation: SEG 2 (4):T193-T204.
The prediction of seismic reservoirs in marine carbonate areas in the Sichuan Basin, southwestern China, is very challenging because the target zone is deeply buried, with multiphase tectonic movements, complex diagenesis, and low porosity, and the incident angle of the seismic data is finite. We developed reliable hydrocarbon indicators of a marine carbonate deposit based on prestack elastic impedance and well observations. Although the hydrocarbon indicators can be calculated from elastic parameters, the inversion for EI-driven elastic attributes is usually unstable. (...)

Homeomorphism Mapping Based Neural Networks for Finite Time Constraint Control of a Class of Nonaffine Pure-Feedback Nonlinear Systems.Jianhua Zhang, Quanmin Zhu, Yang Li & Xueli Wu - 2019 - Complexity 2019:1-11.
In this study, an accurate convergence time of the supertwisting algorithm is proposed to build up a framework for nonaffine nonlinear systems’ finite-time control. The convergence time of the STA is provided by calculating the solution of a differential equation instead of constructing Lyapunov function. Therefore, precise convergence time is presented instead of estimation of the upper bound of the algorithm’s reaching time. Regardless of affine or nonaffine nonlinear systems, supertwisting control provides a general solution based on virtual control law (...)

Promoting Geospatial Service From Information to Knowledge with Spatiotemporal Semantics.Jing Geng, Shuliang Wang, Wenxia Gan, Hanning Yuan, Zeqiang Chen, Ziqiang Yuan & Tianru Dai - 2019 - Complexity 2019:1-14.
With the development of geoscience, users are eager to obtain preferred service from geospatial information intelligently and automatically. However, the information grows rapidly while the service gets more complicated, which makes it difficult to find out the targeted information for an exact service in geospatial issues. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to promote the geospatial service from information to knowledge with spatiotemporal semantics. Both prompted and professional knowledge are further refined to be published as a service. In (...)

Data-Driven Superheating Control of Organic Rankine Cycle Processes.Jianhua Zhang, Xiao Tian, Zhengmao Zhu & Mifeng Ren - 2018 - Complexity 2018:1-8.
In this paper, a data-driven superheating control strategy is developed for organic Rankine cycle processes. Due to non-Gaussian stochastic disturbances imposed on heat sources, the quantized minimum error entropy is adopted to construct the performance index of superheating control systems. Furthermore, particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to obtain optimal control law by minimizing the performance index. The implementation procedures of the presented superheating control system in an ORC-based waste heat recovery process are presented. The simulation results testify the effectiveness (...)

The mounting pollution burden has raised the need for renewable energy demand throughout the world. The study aims to explore the effect of public debt on renewable energy consumption for selected 23 Asian economies for the time period 1990–2019. Long-run empirical findings of the group-wise symmetric ARDL model reveal that increasing public debt results in declining renewable energy consumption. However, findings of the long-run group-wise asymmetric ARDL model reveal that positive shock in public debt reduces renewable energy consumption, and negative (...)

Neural Network-Based Nonlinear Fixed-Time Adaptive Practical Tracking Control for Quadrotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.Jianhua Zhang, Yang Li & Wenbo Fei - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-13.
This brief addresses the position and attitude tracking fixed-time practical control for quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles subject to nonlinear dynamics. First, by combining the radial basis function neural networks with virtual parameter estimating algorithms, a NN adaptive control scheme is developed for UAVs. Then, a fixed-time adaptive law is proposed for neural networks to achieve fixed-time stability, and convergence time is dependent only on control gain parameters. Based on Lyapunov analyses and fixed-time stability theory, it is proved that the fixed-time (...)

: In October 1940, the government of the Shaanxi-Ganjiang-Ningxia Border Region used Yan’an County as the center for trying out the Latinxua Sin Wenz Movement for winter schools. It went through three stages: experimentation, promotion, and reformation. Faced with insurmountable difficulties, the Education Department quietly terminated the project in 1943. The foremost reason why the Communist Party promoted this project was to remove the obstacle posed by Chinese characters for eliminating illiteracy. Despite problems such as ignorance of the officials, uncultured (...)

Previous studies have found a link between red and aggressive behavior. For example, athletes who wear red uniforms in sports are considered to have a competitive advantage. So far, most previous studies have adopted self-report methods, which have low face validity and were easily influenced by the social expectations. Therefore, the study used two implicit methods to further explore the association between red and aggressiveness. A modified Stroop task was used in Experiment 1 to probe college students’ differences between “congruent” (...)

The Essence, Characteristics and Limitation of Post-Colonialism: From Karl Marx’s Point of View. [REVIEW]Geng Yang & Qixue Zhang - 2006 - Frontiers of Philosophy in China 1 (2):279-294.
Following postmodernism, post-colonialism reflects modernity from a new perspective-the cultural perspective. Post-colonialism interprets colonialism contained in modernity, deconstructs orientalism and cultural hegemonism, and turns western reflection of modernity into an inquiry about the global relationship between the East and the West. Post-colonialism brings forward a new theoretical domain, that is, the colonizational relationship between the East and the West in the process of modernization. This interpretation expresses a strong tendency of anti-western centrality and shares some ideas with Marxism. This article (...)
