    Mudstone (“Shale”) Depositional and Diagenetic Processes: Implications for Seismic Analyses of Source-Rock Reservoirs.Bruce S. Hart, Joe H. S. Macquaker & Kevin G. Taylor - 2013 - Interpretation 1 (1):B7-B26.
Source-rock reservoirs are fine-grained petroleum source rocks having geomechanical properties that allow those rocks to produce hydrocarbons at economic rates after stimulation by hydraulic fracturing. Many of the assumptions commonly adopted by geophysicists to characterize shales cannot be applied to source-rock reservoirs. For example, the mineralogies of many source-rock reservoirs are not dominated by clay minerals and so mathematical and/or conceptual models developed for clay-dominated mudstones are not appropriate and cannot be applied to them. Instead, mudstones of shale plays are (...)

    Are Investors Willing to Sacrifice Cash for Morality?R. H. Berry & F. Yeung - 2013 - Journal of Business Ethics 117 (3):477-492.
The paper uses questionnaire responses provided by a sample of ethical investors to investigate willingness to sacrifice ethical considerations for financial reward. The paper examines the amount of financial reward necessary to cause an ethical investor to accept a switch from good ethical performance to poor ethical performance. Conjoint analysis is used to allow quantification of the utilities derived from different combinations of ethical and financial performance. Ethical investors are shown to vary in their willingness to sacrifice ethical for financial (...)

Editors' Overview: Topics in the Responsible Management of Research Data.Joe Giffels, Sara H. Vollmer & Stephanie J. Bird - 2010 - Science and Engineering Ethics 16 (4):631-637.
Responsible data management is a multifaceted topic involving standards within the research community regarding research design and the sharing of data as well as the collection, selection, analysis and interpretation of data. Transparency in the manipulation of images is increasingly important in order to avoid misrepresentation of research findings, and research oversight is also critical in helping to assure the integrity of the research process. Intellectual property issues both unite and divide academe and industry in their approaches to data management. (...)

Gulielmius and the Erfurtensis of Cicero: New Readings For Pro Sulla.D. H. Berry - 1989 - Classical Quarterly 39 (02):400-.
The Erfurtensis , now lat. 2°.252 in the Staatsbibliothek Preuβischer Kulturbesitz at Berlin , was assembled by Wibald of Corvey in the mid twelfth century, and is the most comprehensive medieval manuscript of Cicero, containing nearly half of what was eventually to survive. The manuscript as it exists today has lost one or more folios at several different points, but in some of these places readings were recorded by sixteenth and seventeenth-century scholars before the mutilations occurred. There is, however, only (...)
