Schlusslogische Letztbegründung is a collection of essays in honor of Kurt Walter Zeidler. Mr. Zeidler is a distinguished Kant- and Neo-Kantian-scholar who has reconstructed Kant's concept of transcendental logic in connection with the logic of the concept of Hegel and the logic of symbolization of Peirce. (cf. Zeidler: Grundriss der transzendentalen Logik, 3rd ed., Wien 2017) He has most notably inquired intensively into the relation of transcendental logic to philosophy of science (cf. Zeidler: Prolegomena zur Wissenschaftstheorie, (...) Wien 2000) and to phenomenology (cf. Zeidler: Vermittlungen. Zum antiken und neueren Idealismus, Wien 2016). He has also published several studies on Neo-Kantianism (cf. Zeidler: Provokationen. Zu Problemen des Neukantianismus, Wien 2018). This is refelected in the collection of essays by distinguished scholars who discuss and critically examine Zeidler's work. Jahrhunderts ist festzustellen, dass diese Annahme zutrifft und dass Johann Gottfried Zeidler, demissionierter Pastor und Universitatsauktionar in Halle, Verfasser dieser Schriften ist. Perspective taking is a critical yet tangled construct that is used to describe a range of psychological processes and that is applied interchangeably with related constructs. The resulting ambiguity is particularly vexing in science education, where although perspective taking is recognized as critical to informed citizens’ ability to negotiate scientifically related societal issues, or socioscientific issues via socioscientific reasoning, the precise nature of perspective taking remains elusive. To operationalize perspective taking, a theoretical conceptual analysis was employed and used to position (...) perspective taking within the context of SSR. The resulting, more precise construct identified as socioscientific perspective taking requires engagement with others or their circumstances, an etic/emic shift in one’s viewpoint, and a moral context guided by conscience. Hans Wagner (1917-2000) hat Mitte des vorigen Jahrhunderts eine systematische Erneuerung der Transzendentalphilosophie in Angriff genommen: eine an Kants subjektheoretischem Geltungsbegriff orientierte und Problementwicklungen des deutschen Idealismus, des Neukantianismus und der Phanomenologie integrierende Transzendentalphilosophie. Wenn es eine Aufgabe der Philosophie ist, die Herrschaft des Wortes über den menschlichen Geist zu brechen (Frege), dann ist zu fragen, ob die Prädikatenlogik die Wörter «für alle» und «es gibt» angemessen formalisiert. Übersetzt man «alle Menschen sind sterblich» mit «für alle x : wenn x ein Mensch ist, dann ist x sterblich», so hat man zwar die Syllogistik des Aristoteles überwunden, dafür tritt jetzt aber eine Variable x auf, die in der Aussage vorher nicht vorkam.

"Besonders der Anfang der,Phiinomenologie des Geistes', niimlich die Dialektik der sinnlichen Gew~heit, setzt dem Verstiindnis oft einen scheinbar uniiberwindlichen Widerstand entgegen.,,1 Ein Buch, das, wie das vorliegende, in die Idealistische Dia­ lektik (Hegels) vorrangig am Beispiel der beriihmten "Pha­ nomenologie des Geistes" (im folgenden: PhdG) einftihren will, am Beispiel also eines der schwierigsten Texte der philosophischen Literatur iiberhaupt: mu~ das auch ein besonders schwieriges Buch sein? Unverant­ wortlich nicht nur, weil dem Text der PhdG yom besonders schwierigen Anfang her gefolgt wird - iiber eine weite Strecke. "Kein Problem!" sagt die Sprache des Alltagsja dort, wo es wahrhaftig urn keine philosophischen Probleme geht, urn keine philosophischen Problemstellungen. J edenfalls urn noch keine, bzw. urn so1che, die noch nicht als philosophi­ sches Problem bewu~t sind. Philo sophie - Dialektik zumal - ist kein bequemer Weg zum Ziel; keine bequeme Methode etwa (griech.: methodos heillt ja: der Weg)... Vermittlung", ein zentrales Motiv der Dialektik, ist kein "goldener Mittelweg" (Vermittlung, einmal populiir gespro­ chen: als "Synthese" von "These" und "Antithese"). Die Wirkung der Schrift Erkenntnis und Interesse ging weit über die akademische Debatte hinaus und hatte auch unmittelbaren Einfluß auf den politischen Diskurs in den 70er Jahren. Denn die kritische Reflexion auf die vorgängig leitenden Interessen, die den Erkenntnisprozessen ihre Richtung geben, entzog der Kantischen Vorstellung den Boden, alle Erkenntnis beruhe allein auf der Selbstbestimmtheit des erkennenden Subjekts.

One of the achievements of Hans Blumenberg’s historical anthropology is to have reflected on the way individuals can preserve themselves when they come up against points of significance (Bedeutsamkeiten). Goethe’s encounter with Napoleon, in which the poet succeeded in standing up to the emperor at eye level, was of such self-preserving significance. For Blumenberg himself, his sole encounter with Thomas Mann was of comparable significance, since the Nobel prize-winner asserted himself in the face of the ascendant Nazis as the representative (...) of Goethe and the defender of a humane world. Blumenberg likewise sought contact with Carl Schmitt in order to claim his own interpretative sovereignty over Goethe and thereby — following the model of Goethe and Thomas Mann — assert himself against a representative of the Third Reich. Tekst ten jest częścią zapisków autobiograficznych i niniejszym publikowany jest po raz pierwszy. Traktuje on o złożonej kwestii: jak mają pokolenia później urodzonych, którzy występują w roli współobywateli, zachować się wobec winy moralnej i politycznej, jaką obarczone są ostałe przy życiu postacie ze świata publicznego z okresu najnowszych dziejów, w sytuacji, gdy ciąży na tych postaciach odpowiedzialność za udzielanie przez nie niegdyś szczególnego – z uwagi na wysoką pozycję i zakres ich społecznego oddziaływania – wsparcia pokonanemu tymczasem zbrodniczemu reżimowi. W (...) szczególności chodzi w tym wypadku o kwestię, jaką rolę przy osądzaniu budzącego zastrzeżenia postępowania odgrywa czasowy dystans. W poniższym tekście przyjmuje się w punkcie wyjścia, że retrospektywny osąd minionych zachowań – przy niezmiennych standardach moralnych – może ostatecznie wypaść inaczej, to znaczy, może być bardziej powściągliwy, aniżeli osąd, jaki na temat ekskulpacji ostałych przy życiu postaci ze świata publicznego wypowiadany będzie przez ich rówieśników w sytuacji obecnego ich ze sobą kontaktu face to face. Trzeba bowiem w wypadku asynchronicznego aplikowania tych samych zasad moralnych baczyć na okoliczności historyczne, którym onegdaj przypisywano inną wagę niźli waga, jaka jest przypisywana im obecnie. Ma to miejsce wówczas, kiedy w czasie, który od tamtej pory upłynął, miały miejsce procesy uczenia się, które zmieniły standardy kultury politycznej oraz rozumienie politycznej i moralnej odpowiedzialności obywateli. Angesichts der dadurch verursachten Zerstörungen plädiert Jürgen Manemann für eine rettende Umweltphilosophie. Diese erschüttert die Kaltstellungen des wissenschaftlich-technischen Zugriffs auf Natur durch die Konfrontation mit Andersheit und Anderheit in Natur. Rettende Umweltphilosophie zielt auf ein (Zusammen-)Leben, das alle Menschen, Tiere, Pflanzen, Arten, Berge, Flüsse, Ökosysteme und die Erde als Teil der Moralgemeinschaft umfasst. Indem sie sich engagierend und aktivierend um die Handlungsfähigkeit der Menschen sorgt, begründet sie eine Pflicht zum (...) Aktivismus. Warren Samuels has suggested that the Pareto Principle, when being used in policy analysis, is (1) limited, (2) selective, and (3) displays a conservative bias. In contrast to this view, in this note it is argued that the Pareto Principle is much less limited than was initially perceived (e.g. by Pareto himself) or is generally believed to be the case, that it tends to emphasize inclusiveness instead of selectivity, and that it is more likely to have an innovative instead of (...) a conservative bias.
