The Challenge of Wealth: Jewish Business Ethics.Tamari Meir - 1997 - Business Ethics Quarterly 7 (2):45-56.
Jewish business ethics in Israel addresses two major sources of economic immorality—unbounded desire and fear of economic uncertainty—through enforcement and spiritual education. Business is seen as a path to sanctity, when time is set apart for religious study, wealth is seen as originating from God, the vulnerable are protected against fraud and theft, charity is seen as an obligation, and mercy towards debtors is tempered by justice.

    Hellenic and Jewish in Levinas's Writings.

    R. Nathan Sternhartz’s Liqquṭei Tefilot and the Formation of Bratslav Hasidism.Jonatan Meir - 2016 - Journal of Jewish Thought and Philosophy 24 (1):60-94.
_ Source: _Volume 24, Issue 1, pp 60 - 94 One of the more astounding books produced by Bratslav Hasidism is _Liqquṭei tefilot_, composed by R. Nathan Sternhartz of Nemirov, which established a whole new genre in Bratslav literature. This article discusses the book’s genesis, publication, and primary goals, as well as the controversy it generated. The new Bratslav theology that emerged after the death of Rabbi Naḥman led to disputes, both internal and external, over the role and character of (...)

Language is Shaped by the Body.Mark Aronoff, Irit Meir, Carol Padden & Wendy Sandler - 2008 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 31 (5):509-511.
Sign languages provide direct evidence for the relation between human languages and the body that engenders them. We discuss the use of the hands to create symbols and the role of the body in sign language verb systems, especially in two quite recently developed sign languages, Israeli Sign Language and Al-Sayyid Bedouin Sign Language.

Levinas Faces Biblical Figures captures the drama of the encounter between a great philosopher and a text of primary importance. The book considers the ways in which Levinas's thoughts can open up the biblical text to requestioning, and how the biblical text can inform our reading of Levinas.
