This article defends a regulative ethics of voluntary belief. In order to determine the occasion and the scope of such an ethics, the article begins with an examination of the concept of belief in conversation with the view of J. L. Schellenberg. Next, against the dominant position in contemporary epistemology, it argues that some beliefs can be voluntary, in the sense that they are under the immediate control of the believer, and replies to William Alston's influential objections to doxastic voluntarism. If some beliefs are subject to the immediate control of the believer, then in these cases believers are ethically responsible not only for how they investigate those beliefs, but also for the choice of whether or not to believe them. Os documentos, o arquivo e as práticas arquivísticas são categorias conceituais estudados pela Arquivologia e Ciência da Informação e servem, também, como elementos emergentes na formação da memória no contexto organizacional. Objetiva discutir as noções de documentos, o arquivo e as práticas arquivísticas como bases necessárias à memória das organizações. Metodologicamente, possui abordagem qualitativa, é uma pesquisa descritiva e de cunho teórico, por meio da revisão da literatura e da discussão baseada em teóricos do tema. Situa a memória organizacional e (...) a memória institucional como as possibilidades de formação de memórias no ambiente organizacional e contempla discussões referentes aos documentos dotados de informações orgânicas e não orgânicas, os arquivos e suas práticas na gestão e preservação de acervos memorialísticos. Conclui que os documentos dotados de informações orgânicas e não orgânicas, juntamente com o arquivo e suas práticas, corroboram com a valorização de todo conhecimento criado ou produzido, com as histórias, com os legados, com os fatos e acontecimentos. Pretende-se nesse artigo investigar os chamados Estados Alterados da Consciência (EACs) no horizonte espiritual da antiguidade grega. Considerar-se-á a influência do sonho e do xamanismo sobre as concepções acerca da alma (psyche) e de sua separabilidade em relação ao corpo, acompanhadas das noções de poderes psíquicos incomuns e de um conhecimento sui generis acessível sob determinadas condições. Supõe-se que estas experiências tenham sido de grande importância tanto para a religião quanto para a filosofia na Grécia antiga, dado que seus elementos (...) perpassam doutrinas importantes, desde o orfismo-pitagorismo até o pensamento de Platão. The first English translation of the Prison Narratives written by the seventeenth-century French mystic and Quietist, Jeanne Guyon . Guyon describes her confinement between 1695 and 1703 in various prisons, including the dreaded Bastille, and the introduction provides a comprehensive context for Guyon's writing.

The following article aims to draw a dialogue between the conception of Ethos present in the poet Patativa of the Assaré and the thought of the philosopher Manfredo Araújo de Oliveira. From the particularity to the universality, both thinkers theorize social ethos as an intrinsic characteristic of the subject. Patativa is a representative of the poetry of the Northeastern pantheon, while Manfredo Oliveira stands out for the power of synthesis and analysis of the main problems in the History of Philosophy. (...) Both thinkers show us how it is possible to philosophize in Portuguese or how it is possible to extract from the historical specificity the dilemmas of human complexity. This article, therefore, makes a reflection that starts from the popular literature to the Northeastern philosophical thought, presented as a guiding thread to ethics. (shrink)
