Oscillation Criteria for Third-Order Emden–Fowler Differential Equations with Unbounded Neutral Coefficients.George E. Chatzarakis, Said R. Grace, Irena Jadlovská, Tongxing Li & Ercan Tunç - 2019 - Complexity 2019:1-7.
New sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions to a class of third-order Emden–Fowler differential equations with unbounded neutral coefficients are established. The criteria obtained essentially improve related results in the literature. In particular, as opposed to known results, new criteria can distinguish solutions of third-order differential equations with different behaviors. Examples are also provided to illustrate the results.

Periodic Solution of a Neutral Delay Leslie Predator-Prey Model and the Effect of Random Perturbation on the Smith Growth Model.Tongtong Li & Wencai Zhao - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-15.
This paper puts forward a class of ratio-dependent Leslie predator-prey models. Firstly, a neutral delay predator-prey model with ratio dependence and impulse control is established and the existence of positive periodic solutions is proved by the coincidence degree theory. Secondly, a stochastic disturbance Leslie model of Smith growth is obtained when the interference of white noise is taken into consideration and the impact of delay is ignored. Applying Ito^’s formula, we get the conditions of system persistence and extinction. Finally we (...)

Optimal Topology of Multilayer Urban Traffic Networks.Rui Ding, Jian Yin, Peng Dai, Lu Jiao, Rong Li, Tongfei Li & Jianjun Wu - 2019 - Complexity 2019:1-19.
Previous urban traffic network-based studies have been based mostly on single-layer networks. Based on their shortcomings, starting from the perspective of a multilayer urban traffic network, this paper takes the different anticongestion abilities and network characteristics of various network structures under the condition of traffic congestion as the research object. Then, a comparative experiment is performed via simulation, and the optimal multilayer urban traffic network topology is obtained under different conditions. It is found that these scale-free related multilayer networks have (...)

  5. Effect of Bird Yaw/Pitch Angles on Soft Impact Damage of a Fan Assembly.Junjie Li, Yunfeng Lou, Gaoyuan Yu, Tong Li & Xianlong Jin - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-13.
This paper presents a numerical investigation of bird attitude angles affecting the soft-impact damage of a full fan assembly. Firstly, considering the geometry of a mallard, a real bird model is established by the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method and calibrated with available test data. Then, complying with airworthiness requirements, simulations of a full-bladed fan assembly subjected to a real bird were conducted to determine the critical ingestion parameters. Furthermore, a real bird with different attitude angles aimed at a full fan (...)

Gender Difference of Insecure Attachment: Universal or Culture-Specific?Nanxin Li, Jibo He & Tonggui Li - 2009 - Behavioral and Brain Sciences 32 (1):36-37.
Our research in China does not show gender differences in insecure attachment patterns. We believe that cultural differences between Chinese and Western societies may help to explain this phenomenon. Mating and parenting circumstances in China do not allow males to adopt a zero-investment strategy. In addition, attachment styles are transmitted across generations and last for the whole lifespan. Here, we argue that the influence of mating and parenting on the well-developed attachment patterns in childhood is relatively small.

Spatial Pattern Characteristics and Influencing Factors of Green Use Efficiency of Urban Construction Land in Jilin Province.Huisheng Yu, Ge Song, Tong Li & Yanjun Liu - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-12.
How to explore the allocation and green utilization level of urban construction land resources has an important role in the sustainable development of the city. Taking 47 counties and cities in Jilin Province as an example, this paper evaluates the green utilization efficiency of urban construction land in 2011 and 2015 by using the unexpected output super-SBM model and explores the spatial-temporal differentiation characteristics and influencing factors of GUEUCL by using GIS and machine learning methods. The results show that the (...)

The Character and Economic Preference of City Network of China: A Study Based on the Chinese Global Fortune 500 Enterprises.Xinzheng Zhao, Jing Su, Jing Chao, Xiaoqiong Liu, Tongsheng Li, Yang Rui & Jun Yang - 2020 - Complexity 2020:1-11.
Based on the data of Chinese enterprises that entered the Fortune 500 list in 2015, this paper utilizes the eclectic model to construct the inter-city association network. Using the network analysis method, the spatial connection characteristics of 311 inter-city networks at prefecture level and above and 20 urban agglomerations networks in China are examined, respectively. The research found the following: the overall connectivity of city network is poor, the centripetal concentration is strong, and the network is not complete. The city (...)
