Conner Bailey is Associate Professor of Rural Sociology at Auburn University. Mike Skladany is a doctoral student in Sociology at Michigan State University. Both have extensive field experience in Southeast Asia with fisheries and other common property natural resource systems.

Ronnie Hawkins is a doctoral student in philosophy at the University of Florida. She is particularly interested in the ethical issues surrounding human population expansion and the anthropogenic extinction of nonhuman species.

Tony Smith is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Iowa State University, where he also serves on the University's Agricultural Bioethics committee. He has published two books and numerous articles in the area of social theory, including papers on ideology in agricultural science and in arguments concerned with food irradiation.
