Zusammenfassung
Im Beitrag soll der Sinn des Ausdrucks „Musik des Lebens“ in FW 372 geklärt werden. Die These Ist, dass Nietzsches Bezug von Musik und Philosophie in diesem Aphorismus nicht nur metaphorisch gemeint Ist und dass die Welse, in der moderne Philosophen mit Musik als Kunst umgehen, Konsequenzen für die moderne Konzeption des philosophischen Denkens hat. Mit Hilfe eines Vergleichs von FW 372 mit MA1217 legt der Beitrag erstens dar, dass Nietzsche eine Parallele zieht zwischen dem, was er den Prozess der Entsinnlichung nennt, der moderne Philosophen und moderne Musikhörer(innen) Jeweils ergriffen hat, und zweitens, dass Nietzsche diesen Prozess als gefährlich und bedrohlich sowohl für die Fähigkeit zu denken als auch für die Fähigkeit zu empfinden und Musik zu hören betrachtet.
Abstract
The paper aims at clarifying the meaning of the expression “music of life” presented by Nietzsche in FW 372. It claims that Nietzsche’s linking of music and philosophy in this aphorism is meant not merely metaphorical and that the way modern philosophers deal with music as art has consequences for the modern conception of philosophical thinking. By comparing FW 372 with MA I 217 the paper argues, firstly, that Nietzsche establishes a parallel between what he calls the process of Entsinnlichung that affected both modern philosophers and modern listeners to music; secondly, that Nietzsche considers this process dangerous and a threat to the capacity to think as well as the capacity to feel and listen to music.
