Abstract
[Recent history programmes in Italy] This article examines the history programmes for Italian schools of all orders and levels over a period of more than ten years, culminating in 2012, during which several reforms were carried out. In particular the article focuses on Eurocentrism, on world history and on cultural identity, as well as on the political, cultural and historiographical contexts that determined the development of the different programmes.
