Zusammenfassung
Aristoteles’ Termini für Art und Gattung sind eidos und genos. Sie wurden wie viele seiner anderen philosophischen Ausdrücke von Platon übernommen. Während Platon die beiden Begriffe aber noch nicht im Sinne eines festen Sprachgebrauchs verwendet, werden sie bei Aristoteles begrifflich ausdifferenziert.
