Donald deB. Beaver is Professor of History of Science and Chairman of the Science and Technology Studies Program at Williams College. His research interests lie broadly in the social history of science, with emphasis on science in America and scientometrics. He is currently studying images of science, technology, and nature in textbooks of natural philosophy, and is working on developing a statistical model of collaboration and teamwork in research.
