A former Protestant minister and community organizer, Michael Eldridge teaches contemporary religious thought in the Religion Department of the University of Florida. Dr. Eldridge, who studied theology (Yale) and philosophy (Columbia and Florida), is currently preparing a book on secular religion and editing an anthology of literary selections and interpretive essays that presents and examines the role of the philosopher as protagonist.
