Abstract
The Nietzsche- Sartre connection is a topic that is often alluded to but rarely discussed in a systematic way. In this paper I set out to break this relative silence and pursue the following objectives: firstly, to establish Nietzsche and Sartre as parallel thinkers with a common vision across the range of their philosophy, including the key areas of the self, ontology, and ethics. Secondly, to present Nietzsche and Sartre as twin philosophers of a deconstructive form of paradoxical thinking or sublimating logic that overturns metaphysical humanism and anticipates many key ideas in contemporary posthumanist thinking.
