The editors of STUDIES note with regret the death of Professor Guttchen, which took place in a tragic accident this past summer. An active participant in the philosophy of education, he brought a special vigor to the tasks of relating current philosophical problems to psychological bases and educational ideals. His brief comment, “More on Practice,” strikes this characteristic note.
