Notes
Onto-theology is a way of characterizing Western metaphysics popularized in modern philosophy by Martin Heidegger (1889-1976). According to Heidegger and his descendants, such as Michel Foucault and Jacques Derrida, Westernmetaphysics seeks the articulation of an absolute order of beings. This is practically related to a totalitarian rational ontology which imposes itself on all civilization.
Wilber’s integral model is a systematic building utilizing smaller parts that become building blocks for bigger parts. This “becoming” is a development.
This can conceptually be understood as a number of parallel lines converging at a vanishing point in a paradox or aporia, leading to a difference in kind of another plane or dimension of existence than the one on which the parallel lines exist.
