Description

While religion entails a set of objective elements (beliefs, spirituality, morality, rites, institutions, etc.), religiosity refers to how individuals or groups of people live their own religion or how their religious beliefs are held. In a certain sense, religiosity is the maturity of faith.

The religiosity of persons includes both their internal spiritual experience of religion and their religious practices and behaviors. In sociological terms, we can consider the religiosity of a certain territory or a country by measuring external manifestations or practices. For instance, for Christian religiosity, measuring the percentage of people baptized and those who attend religious services on Sundays.
