Think, Again: A Reply to Ulrich Plass

Abstract

In Mixed Opinions and Maxims Nietzsche offers sage advice on the topic of being misunderstood. He writes: “When one is misunderstood as a whole, it is impossible to remove completely a single misunderstanding. One has to realize this lest one waste superfluous energy on one's defense.” I shall bear this wisdom in mind as I respond to Ulrich Plass's review of recent scholarship on the work of Theodor W.
