Abstract

Chinese analogisms are defined by certain specific features, which will be introduced and analyzed proceeding from their tight connection to semantic issues. The aim of these analyses is to highlight the fabric of the structural relations in which such analogisms are rooted and to illuminate their axiological nature. In this context, this essay mainly investigates ancient Confucian and Mohist philosophy, for the members of these two schools of thought dealt with analogisms in a most comprehensive way.
