Science and Education in a Totalitarian Regime: The Case of Slovakia

Abstract

In this paper we attempt to reflect on the past period in which we have lived and worked; more specifically to examine the role played by science and science education in the two recent Slovakian totalitarian regimes (1939–1945, 1948–1989).
