Zusammenfassung
In Analogie zu den zehn Geboten der Bibel hat Nietzsche im Nachlass des Jahres 1876 zehn Gebote des Freigeistes aufgestellt, die als moralische Leitlinien für das Entstehen und die Erhaltung eines freien Geistes angesehen werden können. Die von den zehn Geboten betroffenen Themen sind insbesondere Volker und Vaterländer, Staat und Politik, Reichtum und Armut, berühmte und einflussreiche Personen, Frau, Kind und Erziehung, Religion und Moral sowie das allgemeine Verhältnis zu Wahrheit und Welt, also alles Themen, die Nietzsche auch sonst in seinen Werken behandelt hat, sich hier aber im Rahmen einer für Nietzsche ungewöhnlichen Sollensethik vereint finden. Im Ausgang von diesen Geboten werden in diesem Aufsatz zunächst der nähere Kontext des Notats sowie Ziele und Methode dieser Arbeit vorgestellt. Dann werden die zehn Gebote im Einzelnen behandelt. Schließlich wird individuellen Konsequenzen nachgegangen, insbesondere Nietzsches persönlicher Umsetzung dieser Moral und der Frage, warum Nietzsche diese zehn Gebote nicht veröffentlicht hat, sondern sie Nachlass geblieben sind.
Abstract
By analogy to the Ten Commandments of the Bible Nietzsche has written down ten commandments for a free spirit in 1876, which can be seen as moral rules of conduct for the becoming and preservation of a free spirit, but have never been published. The issues of these ten commandments, especially peoples and fatherlands, nations and politics, wealth and poverty, famous and influential persons, women, children and education, religion, morality and the general relation to truth and the world, are all well known from other published works of Nietzsche, but can be found here in a short note and united in the form of a deontological ethics, which is quite unusual in Nietzsche. Starting with these ten commandments I will at first take a look at the context of the note and discuss the purpose and method used in this paper before discussing each of the rules in more detail. In the end I will look at the individual consequences Nietzsche has drawn from these rules, especially how he applied them to himself and why he might have left them unpublished.
