PURLOINED PARCHMENTS AND BURGLARIZED BOOK ROOMS In 1969 there was a major theft of manuscripts, incunabula and other rare books from Holy Name College in Washington, D.C. Nothing has been recovered from that theft. In 1975 the rare book collection of Holy Name College was relocated to the Franciscan Institute of St. Bonaventure University. Most of the items which were stolen are listed here to reaffirm the legitimate claim of the owner in the hope that they may yet be identified and restored to the collection . Most items had a small (3 cm.) round stamp somewhere on them which read "Biblioth Collegii SS. Nominis Jesu O.F.M. Washington , D.C." MANUSCRIPTS Antonius de Bitonto. Sermones dominicales.
