Acknowledgments

The papers included in this issue have been the result of a two-step selection, first, from about one hundred original conference submissions and then from 65 accepted conference papers, by about 70 reviewers, 56 forming the conference program committee and others invited to give their contribution on specific issues. After the conference, each paper underwent further review by the journal, half of the reviewers being selected by the guest editor and half by the journal’s editor. I would like to acknowledge the commitment and work done by the conference and issue reviewers. The quality of these papers has benefited from their comments and remarks. Finally, I would like to acknowledge the University of Brescia, my department (Department of Social Sciences, University of Brescia) and Lucchini Foundation for their financial support to the conference, in particular Marco Belfanti (Director of the Department of Social Sciences) and Severo Bocchio (Lucchini Foundation Chief). A special thanks to Laura Gilardi, editorial secretary of Mind and Society, for her invaluable help.
