Zusammenfassung
Die Frage nach der Gerechtigkeit wurde in der Antike vor allem als Frage nach dem tugendhaften Leben und Handeln verstanden (Platon [1973] 1990a, 508, 1973b, 327aff.; Aristoteles 1980, 1129a1 ff.). In der Gegenwart wird dagegen stärker die politische und soziale Gerechtigkeit thematisiert (Rawls 1979; Höffe 1987; Miller 2008). Diese einzelnen historischen Akzentuierungen dürfen jedoch nicht über den grundsätzlichen Charakter der Gerechtigkeit als Teil der allgemeinen Ethik hinwegtäuschen.
