Abstract

This article discusses the position of UN institutions regarding the political and social challenges the Anthropocene raises. After a presentation of the main international institutions or agreements linked to environmental issues, it questions the possible evolutions of the international order under the Anthropocene. The article’s conclusion mainly pays homage to Joel Wainwright and Geoff Mann’s book, Climate Leviathan¸ published in 2018.
