Art and Knowledge in Gadamer's Hermeneutics
Abstract
This paper describes work to hermeneutics in Gadamer, the relationship between art and knowledge. This work in two parts, the first description of up to U.S. criticism of traditional aesthetics. He put forward evidence against the three regardless of aesthetic awareness of traditional aesthetics, this criticism to his philosophy of art and knowledge convergence. The second part of the painting by Gadamer's phenomenological analysis, one card into the art and knowledge of the causal relationship between, on the other hand describes the character of this knowledge. Finally, I pointed out that the art and knowledge of the close relationship between philosophical thinking up to the U.S. concept of art. This essay tries to elucidate the relationship between art and knowledge in Gadamer's hermeneutics. It is divided into two parts. Firstly I analyze the arguments offered by Gadamer in his critique of traditional aesthetics which leads him to the conclusion that art is knowledge. Secondly I argue for the necessary connection of art and knowledge and then show the characteristics of knowledge in Gadamer. In the conclusion I point out that the Gadamerian concept of thinking is artistic in nature
