The Eco-Wisdom and Eco-Justice of the Indigenous Peoples in Taiwan: A Reflection of Environmental Philosophy

Abstract

In this study, "literature analysis method," which, either a "interdisciplinary" law and "depth interviews", especially by the environmental point of view of philosophy with a unique Taiwanese aborigines are subject to environmental justice, ecological wisdom and troubled? Environmental philosophy as a researcher, to explore the ecological wisdom of indigenous people in Taiwan about whether there is a theoretical basis, is responsible for it. Secondly, this paper looks forward to integrate the various disciplines of environmental consensus, one side can provide a valuable ecological wisdom of the Han group, one side strive for disadvantaged indigenous peoples a degree of environmental justice. Finally, this study summarized the results of five kinds of valuable environmental ethics, environmental justice, to discuss six issues, and provide three solutions. The study mainly adopts the method of literature analysis, and also uses the methods of interdisciplinary research and deep interview. It is to investigate whether indigenous peoples in Taiwan have any unique environmental wisdom and any difficult on the problems of Eco-justice from the perspective of environmental philosophy. As a philosopher, to explore whether there is any basis for the environmental wisdom of the indigenous people is our main job in the study. And hoping that this study may integrate the disciplinary insights from the environmental issues, in order to offer some precious environmental wisdom to Han tribe in Taiwan in one hand, and enhance indigenous peoples of the minority to reach certain degree of eco-justice in another hand. Finally, the research finds five norms of environmental ethics from thoughts of indigenous peoples in Taiwan, analyses six problems regarding eco-justice, and offers three approaches to solve their problems in the future
