Abstract

We wonder what the role of researchers interested in the imaginary can be in the perspective of futurology. Futurology implements multiple methods to think about the future and, among these various approaches, using two examples, we develop the idea that layered causal analysis has a link with the imaginary, through of the fourth layer devoted to metaphor and myth. We thus show that research on the imaginary has its place in understanding analyzes relating to the future.
